DOA State Administration Building:
101 East Wilson Street, Madison, WI 53703. Based on current DEBF policy and the business needs within the unit, this position would work from their headquarter location at least two days per week with the possibility of working from home the remaining days. Initial training may require additional days in office. Position Summary The State Budget Office is a fast-paced environment in which analysts assist the Governor and the Secretary of Administration in the development and implementation of the state budget. Analysts analyze public policy and programs in addition to working with assigned agencies. Agency assignments will be determined by position. For a complete description of duties, please see the full entry level position description. We are recruiting at the entry and journey levels for this position. The level of the selected candidate will be determined at the time of hire. Higher level candidates may have experience developing and implementing policy (e.g., providing input on policy recommendations to individuals or organizations, implementing policies and procedures for an organization, interpreting policies and procedures to advise managers, or similar); or analyzing public sector budgets. Salary Information This position at either level will be in the schedule-range (81-03) with an annual salary between $71,364 and $79,851. Employees at the Entry level will receive an add-on of $1.00 per hour; at the Journey level an add-on of $2.00 per hour. Level of position and salary will be determined based on the qualifications of the selected candidate at the time of hire. A 24-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.
