Headquarters Battalion (HQBN). Supports the Command Suitability Program and assists with the administration, coordination, tracking, and review of personnel suitability and investigative requirements. This position is contigent upon contract award.

Duties :

Support the Command Suitability Program and applicable personnel suitability, fitness, credentialing, and background-investigation activities. Interpret and apply applicable security, suitability, personnel-vetting, and investigative policies, regulations, guidance, and processes. Support personnel suitability and investigative actions using applicable Government personnel-security and investigation systems. Review personnel investigation histories and documentation to support verification of eligibility for Common Access Card (CAC) issuance and other applicable personnel requirements. Support initiation, coordination, submission, and tracking of appropriate background investigations. Review and track investigation status, suitability actions, and associated personnel documentation. Support processing and tracking of adverse information, requests for supplemental information, continuous-vetting alerts, and other applicable personnel-vetting actions. Maintain appropriate records, rosters, trackers, and documentation associated with suitability and personnel-security activities. Research and assist in resolving personnel suitability, investigation, and credentialing issues. Coordinate suitability and investigative requirements with appropriate USARCENT, Army, DoD, and other Government personnel and organizations. Protect personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive personnel information in accordance with applicable requirements.

Skills :

Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Suitability Specialist, Security Specialist, Adjudicator, or in a comparable personnel-security/suitability role preferred. Experience supporting personnel suitability, fitness, credentialing, background investigations, or adjudication processes preferred. Experience using the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) preferred. Experience with applicable Government personnel-security and investigation systems, including PSIP, NP2, and/or CVS, preferred. Knowledge of personnel investigation types and ability to interpret investigative and adjudicative information preferred. Experience processing or supporting adverse information, supplemental information requests, and continuous-vetting actions preferred. Knowledge of applicable Army, DoD, and Federal personnel suitability and security policies and procedures preferred. Strong attention to detail, records-management, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

Pay:

From $31.24 per hour
