Full Job Description Overview:
Aether Aerospace is seeking a Functional Area Analyst II to support our Office of the Secretary of War (OSW) Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) Joint Data Support (JDS) customer within the National Capital Region. This role supports intelligence analysis, strategic assessments, and future force planning efforts focused on non-U.S. military capabilities, allied and partner nation forces, operational environments, and near-peer threat analysis. This position will require on-site/in person support at the Mark Center Building in Alexandria, VA.Roles/Responsibilities:
Support the collection, validation, and maintenance of non-U.S. military force, unit, equipment, and infrastructure data. Assist with intelligence analysis activities related to allied, partner nation, and near-peer adversary capabilities and operational environments. Support the development and maintenance of databases containing historical, current, and projected non-U.S. force structure and capability data. Collaborate with Intelligence Community and Department of Defense stakeholders to support data acquisition and analytic activities. Assist with documenting data quality, classification considerations, and source pedigree associated with intelligence datasets. Support the development of tailored datasets for studies, assessments, simulations, and analytic efforts. Conduct research and analysis related to foreign military capabilities, operational trends, and strategic threat environments. Assist with the preparation of briefings, technical reports, presentations, and study support materials. Support rapid response requests, data calls, and ad hoc intelligence analysis efforts. Participate in strategic analysis and future force planning activities supporting Department-level initiatives.Required Qualifications:
Active SECRET clearance required;TOP SECRET/SCI
eligibility preferred. Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting intelligence analysis, military operations analysis, defense analytics, force structure analysis, or related DoD efforts. Familiarity with non-U.S. military capabilities, operational environments, or strategic threat analysis. Experience working with defense-related datasets, databases, or intelligence information. Experience using Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
