Job Description

The City of Chandler Neighborhood Resources Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining their team as a Community Resources Supervisor [Community Navigator Supervisor], Internal Only (full-time, regular with benefits). The position is scheduled to work 5 days, 8 hours. This opportunity is only open to: 1) current regular City of Chandler employees, 2) those participating in a city approved internship or apprenticeship program, and 3) temporary employees who are paid through the city payroll system. Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler. Who we are The City of Chandler Community Development Division administers funds and programs that promote the improvement of quality of life for low- to moderate-income families and assist in the stabilization of Chandler neighborhoods. As well as partner with nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and City departments to address basic and critical human needs. Who we are looking for Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for someone with to oversee directly operated homeless programs, support internal departments impacted by homelessness and work with neighborhoods and businesses to address concerns related to homelessness. Minimum qualifications A High School Diploma or GED; and 3 years of progressively responsible experience working with people experiencing homelessness, mental illness or addiction; and a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available. Applicants for employment and volunteer opportunities should be aware of the City of Chandler's policies concerning the use of drugs and alcohol. These policies have not been altered by the passage of Proposition 207. The use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city's Drug Free Workplace Policy. Certain positions within the city are required to submit to a pre-employment drug test. A positive result for drugs tested under the policy, including recreational marijuana, may be grounds for withdrawal of an offer of employment or volunteer opportunity.
