Assedo Consulting provides planning and public outreach services for infrastructure projects in the planning, design, and construction phases of development.

Our ideal candidate has:

3 - 5 years of relevant project experience working in urban planning, community outreach or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Community Planning, Journalism, Marketing or other related field; Ability to work on multiple tasks for multiple project teams; Interest in community improvement, education, engagement and stewardship; GIS experience required; Strong communications skills (written and verbal); and Positive attitude and outlook. Examples of typical job duties include: Reviewing technical documents and developing messages to share with the public; Coordinating meeting logistics (identifying potential meeting sites, scheduling meeting details, preparing decision matrices of options for the project); Attending field and community meetings with the team and preparing meeting notes; Leading parts of the community engagement process at client and public meetings; Creating project maps and visual aids for public information; Developing project databases and producing accompanying reports; and Developing task plans and other outreach documents for projects.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Assedo Consulting promotes a safe and healthy work environment and provides appropriate safety and equipment training for all personnel as required. Most daily work is performed in a standard office environment; Must have access to a vehicle to travel to various project sites throughout the workday Includes work hours beyond the typical work days and hours (after 5PM to include Saturday and Sunday hours) Subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds; May occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, potential physical harm, and extreme noise when working at events and when working in the field. We are conveniently located in the Baltimore region and Prince George's County, Maryland. Our staff is continually stretching, learning, improving and growing.
