Job Summary

DEFINITION

Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, the After School ELOP Counselor will work with the After School LEAP Program to support their vision and mission. The After School LEAP Program runs from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm. The counselor will provide assistance in the areas of guidance, counseling, programming, and special education. Additionally, they will serve as a resource to staff in the area of guidance and positive reinforcement of students. They will collaborate with educational partners and service providers to support student needs. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements /

Qualifications Education:

• Possession of a valid Pupil Personnel Services Credential
• Master's Degree
• Three years of successful teaching experience preferred
• Background in working with minority students and families
• Ability to communicate in Spanish and knowledge of bilingual education (desirable)
