Salary:

$49,200 Approximately 194 days; ($51,800 after probationary year)

Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Equivalent Discipline and; Minimum of two years of related experience Performance Responsibilities (non-prioritized): Provide counseling and therapeutic support to students at risk due to personal or social problems. Maintain regular contact and collaborate with teaching staff regarding the needs of at-risk students. Provide students with individual or group instruction related to problem solving, conflict resolution, and other issues related to student success. Develop and implement strategies to promote effective behavior management, including behaviors such as bullying, harassment, study skills, etc. Maintain basic records regarding students served and interventions used. Form student groups based on specific issues common to all in the group. Assist administrators in developing and implementing strategies to promote effective student behavior management. Collaborate with teaching staff regarding the needs of at-risk students Provide parents with information focusing on the dynamics of the parent/child relationship. Provide direct services to students and parents outside the school environment as warranted. Submit, monitor, and maintain attendance records, including truancy referrals.
