What youll bring:

Active Michigan education certificate with School Counselor Endorsement (please ensure licensure/certification is up to date and included in your application) Prior experience working as a school counselor, particularly supporting high school-aged students, is highly valued Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate teens Dedication to fostering a supportive and encouraging educational environment Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a diverse school community Your responsibilities: Serve as an academic counselor, guiding students through course selection, graduation requirements, and post-secondary planning Provide social-emotional support and crisis intervention as needed, collaborating with teachers and families to advocate for student needs Play a key role in student success plans, monitoring academic progress and delivering targeted interventions Facilitate individual and small group counseling sessions Maintain accurate student records and correspond with relevant education professionals Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture This full-time contract runs from August 31, 2026, through June 4, 2027, set within a supportive and welcoming school environment.
