Job Purpose:
The Success Coach will provide personalized academic, career, and social-emotional support to students, promoting their overall development and success. Through individualized coaching, mentoring, and advocacy, the Success Coach will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and staff to help students meet their academic, career, and personal goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred. Strong background in instructional strategies, academic support, and student development. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds. Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Academic Support Assist students in understanding course materials and academic expectations. Support the development of study skills, time management, and organizational habits. Collaborate with teachers to identify students needing additional academic support and create individualized action plans. Personal Development Promote students' social-emotional well-being by helping them develop resilience, self-esteem, and stress management skills. Support students in making positive life choices and navigating personal challenges. Advocacy and Communication Serve as a liaison among students, parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure students' needs are met. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and interventions. Connect students and families with school and community resources when needed. Goal Setting and Motivation Assist students in setting realistic academic, career, and personal goals. Monitor and track student progress toward goals and provide encouragement and accountability Mentoring Provide individualized or small group support as needed. Offer mentoring services to promote student growth, leadership, and decision-making skills.

Improved academic performance among coached students. Increased student engagement, school attendance, and retention. Enhanced student development of academic, career, and life skills.
