Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Academic Coach to support students in their academic journey. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring, helping students navigate their educational paths effectively. This role involves providing individual coaching, tutoring, advising, and fostering an environment conducive to learning and personal growth for students K-College. Duties Conduct individual sessions to assist students in their academic pursuits. Provide academic advising to guide students in course selection and career planning. Utilize analysis skills to assess student needs and develop tailored strategies for success. Mentor students by sharing insights from personal university experience and offering guidance on navigating academic challenges. Collaborate with staff to enhance student support services. Provide services to elementary, middle, and high school students. Utilize executive functioning strategies to help with coaching. Needed to work afternoon and evenings. Qualifications Proven experience working with students in an educational setting is essential . Strong public speaking abilities to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Familiarity with Canvas. Google Classroom and other related school platforms. Background in education with many years experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for effective interaction with students and staff. Strong analytical skills to assess student needs and outcomes critically. Experience in mentoring or academic advising is highly desirable. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
