Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and flexible 1:1 Behavior Interventionist to provide individualized support for a student with behavioral, social-emotional, and/or developmental needs. The ideal candidate remains calm under pressure, builds strong relationships, and uses proactive and responsive strategies to help students succeed throughout the school day. Responsibilities Provide direct 1:1 support to a student across school settings. Support the student during periods of behavioral escalation using de-escalation and co-regulation strategies. Implement behavior intervention plans and individualized support strategies. Facilitate restorative conversations and help repair relationships when conflicts arise. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to support student success. Monitor student progress and maintain documentation as needed. Make quick, informed decisions to support student safety and well-being. Foster student independence, self-regulation, and positive engagement in the school environment.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, counseling, behavioral sciences, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work as part of a team.
Preferred:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential. Schedule 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, school days This job is temporary with the potential to extend.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
