Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract role supporting student wellness for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity is tailored for a dedicated Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor eager to make a lasting impact. Working closely with a small caseload of students enrolled for specialized services, your expertise will guide their growth and ensure they receive individualized attention.
Highlights of What We're Looking For:
Active New Hampshire Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) certification required Proven track record working with students experiencing selective mutism Prior experience delivering counseling within an academic or school-based setting Strong ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Excellent documentation and communication skills Familiarity with IEPs, progress reporting, and goal tracking preferred
Your Role Will Include:
Delivering targeted mental health counseling services to a caseload of three students Participating in approximately six hours of direct student services weekly Providing assessment, intervention, and support tailored to each student's needs Maintaining accurate and timely session notes and required documentation Collaborating with school staff and parents, attending meetings as necessary Dedicating one, 8-hour day each week to services, meetings, and administrative tasks This contract arrangement allows you to focus on quality care while maintaining a manageable schedule. You'll play a vital role in a supportive environment, shaping student growth over the academic year.
