As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a part-time School Counselor to provide in-person services for public school students grades K-5th. This leave coverage position is for the current school year, from September - Dec 23, 2026 with the potential to extend.

School Counselor Pay Rate:

$40-$50 per hour

School Counselor Position Details:

Part-Time (3 days per week)

Hours:

8:15am-2:30pm (can be flexible on the 3 days of services)

Leave Coverage Caseload:

approximately 10 students Counseling services

School Counselor Qualifications:

Must have school certification in New Jersey Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

School Counselor Responsibilities Include:

Identifying and assessing students in need of trauma support Conducting trauma-informed therapy and counseling interventions for at-risk students in individual, group, or family settings Responding to progress monitoring results and student assessment data Providing case management and direct intervention to students and families experiencing trauma, including those from low-income households, those who are homeless or in foster care, and students involved in the criminal justice system or experiencing mental illness or substance abuse disorder.
