08/11/2026 School Counselor Long-Term Substitute (Contracted Position) 1st Semester, 2026-27 School Year (August 2026 – January 2027) K.D. Markley Elementary School K.D. Markley Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Long-Term Substitute School Counselor for the first semester of the 2026-27 school year. This role provides academic guidance and personal/social counseling to elementary students, collaborating with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners to promote student success and well-being. Responsibilities Academic Support Monitor academic progress and intervene when students are at risk Collaborate with teachers to support student learning and achievement Personal/Social Development Provide individual and group counseling for personal, emotional, and social issues Address bullying, peer conflict, and mental health concerns Refer students and families to outside support services when needed Administrative Duties Maintain accurate student records and documentation Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as needed Support school-wide initiatives related to attendance, behavior, and wellness Qualifications Master's degree in School Counseling or related field Valid Pennsylvania School Counselor certification Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Application Requirements To apply, please submit the following: Online application Letter of interest and resume Three current letters of reference (one must be from a direct supervisor) Unofficial transcripts Current clearances: Act 34 , Act 151 , Act 114 , and Act 24 (PDE6004 Form) 2025-2026 Salary Schedule (Due to current negotiations of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), an adjustment may need to be made for salaries.
