The approximate dates needed are 8/25/26-1/5/27, with the possibility for an extension. Responsible for assessing each students interests and aptitudes. Assists students in maintaining normal personal and social adjustments. Academic Assist students in academic planning (course selection, 4 yr Program, ILP goals). Assist students in interpreting standardized test scores as it pertains to post-high school planning. Assist students in managing academic challenges. 504 Plans Risk of not graduating Poor academic progress Referrals to internal academic supports, Orient and schedule students new to the district Maintains student records and protects their confidentiality. Assume the role of case manager for Academic 504 Plans. Inform students of alternate/enrichment educational options.

Assist students with career planning through classroom activities, assessments, and individual meetings. Assist students and families with post-high school planning, including but not limited to college and career search.

Assist with the preparation and processing of college and scholarship applications and employment applications if requested. Craft authentic, individualized letters of recommendation for senior year college-bound students Stay abreast of all college admissions trends and other college-related information. Assist students in recognizing individual strengths, interests, and skills as well as helping them set goals for improvement. Provide individual counseling that will help lead each student to increased personal growth, self-understanding, and maturity. Provide individual counseling with personal problems such as home and family relations, health, and emotional adjustment as it impacts the school program, and/or offer suggestions for outside supports.
General Responsibilities:
Deliver the school counseling core curriculum through group or individual sessions. Collaborate with parents whenever necessary. Attend staff meetings. Perform all other duties deemed necessary by the administration Collaborate with administrators and faculty on matters of student discipline/concerns. Takes an active role in analyzing data as it pertains to student success. Work 5 additional days beyond the school year. Disseminate college/career/scholarship and other pertinent information to students and the community.

Other duties may be assigned as determined by the school principal.
