Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Exciting new full-time opportunity for a dedicated Counselor to make a direct impact in a school setting near Summerville, SC! This contract position centers on providing essential, confidential 1:1 counseling services for a single student, allowing you to deliver personalized guidance and support within an onsite environment. Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Counseling, School Counseling, or a related field Valid state certification or licensure as a School Counselor Experience providing 1:1 counseling support—school-based, preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries Adept at fostering trust and rapport with students in a supportive, nonjudgmental manner
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality, confidential counseling services to one student, tailored to their unique developmental, emotional, and academic needs Collaborate with school staff and administration to ensure a safe and supportive environment Develop and implement intervention strategies and monitor progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions, goals, and outcomes Serve as a resource for crisis intervention as needed Adhere to ethical and legal standards of school counseling practice This role is full-time and onsite, giving you the chance to focus your expertise while building a lasting relationship with a student who needs your guidance most.
