Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by supporting their emotional and social well-being in a contract counseling role. This opportunity spans a diverse range of elementary and middle school settings, offering variety and valuable experience across several campuses. The position is part-time—16 hours per week—so you can enjoy career fulfillment and balance with your other commitments. What we're looking for: Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification in Texas Experience working with children and adolescents in educational environments, particularly in elementary and middle school settings Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 students across five campuses Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate effectively with students, families, and faculty Enthusiasm for fostering the personal and academic growth of students Responsibilities include: Providing group and individual counseling to students referred for support services Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective intervention plans Conducting assessments and maintaining thorough documentation of interactions and progress Contributing to the creation of a safe, inclusive school environment where every student feels heard and valued Guiding students through academic and emotional challenges, equipping them with tools needed for success This contract aligns with the school year, beginning August 12, 2025 and ending May 21, 2027.
