Works with school teachers and administrators to address problems that affect student performance, and identifies resources for students and families. Qualifications:
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. Counseling endorsement. Elementary Education endorsement. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Experience:
Experience working with students on the elementary level.
Responsibilities:
Ability to communicate and work effectively with principal, staff and parents. Ability and willingness to work as a team member with special education and general education staff. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to compromise. Good initiative, flexibility, dependability and organizational skills. Strong sense of professionalism. Strong classroom management skills.
Salary:
Salary will be based on the
FY2026-27
salary schedule.
