The STEAM Grant Coordinator will report to the Director of Workforce Development. The STEAM Grant Coordinator is responsible for the recruiting and promoting the Technical Division's programs and work-based learning programs as well as representing and promoting career awareness programs throughout the College's service area. In addition, the employee assists Technical Division faculty with student retention and placement of graduates. The STEAM Grant Coordinator submits Skills for Success course requests, plans lab day activities, and submits and maintains all required documentation.
Salary:
Appropriate placement on the Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule E3: (Salary range: $41,349 - $66,218)

Continued employment is contingent upon funding from the grant. In accordance with the provisions of the Students First Act, ACT 2011-270, non-probationary status is not attainable by virtue of employment in this position, the funding and duration of which are finite.

Promotion of SUSCC STEAM-related/Technical scholarship opportunities with high school counselors/career coaches, students and parents. Develop and nurture relationships with local high schoolrepresentatives. Travel to service area schools and training sessions asrequired. Evaluate program outcomes and develop a plan fornecessary improvements. Maintain accurate records and provide reports as directed by the Director of Workforce Development. Lead employer connections Assist in implementing college policies, objectives, and functions inaccordance with College philosophy andprocedures. Maintain appropriate workhours and professional dress. Adhere to prescribed policies of the College and the Alabama Community CollegeSystem.
