Youth Specialist play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where students can learn, build relationships, have fun, and develop positive social and academic skills. Enjoys working with elementary-aged children. Is energetic, creative, patient, and dependable. Can build positive relationships with students. Has strong communication and classroom management skills. Can work independently while also being a strong team member. Is comfortable leading activities and engaging a group of students. Understands the importance of active supervision and student safety. Is professional when communicating with families, teachers, and school staff. Is willing to learn, receive feedback, and grow within the program.
Before School Youth Specialist Days:
Monday-Friday Hours Available:
7:30am - 9am Under the guidance of the Site Director, the Youth Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision and engagement of students in our Before School Program. Students may range from TK through 6th grade. The Youth Specialist will help students start their school day in a positive and supportive environment by leading activities, supervising students, assisting with breakfast, and supporting morning recess.Responsibilities Include:
Plan and facilitate engaging indoor and outdoor activities for students. Provide active supervision of students at all times. Assist with breakfast and morning recess supervision. Follow and reinforce program expectations, routines, and safety procedures. Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment. Assist with student attendance and daily program operations. Communicate effectively with Site Leadership regarding student needs and daily operations. Help create an inclusive environment where every student feels respected, valued, and supported. Communicate professionally with families, teachers, and school staff as needed. Be punctual, professional, dependable, and flexible. Follow the program plan and support the school's culture and academic philosophy.After School Youth Specialist Days:
Tuesday & Thursday Hours Available:
1:15pm - 6:00pm Under the guidance of the Site Director, the Youth Specialist is responsible for the direct supervision and engagement of students in our Before School Program. Students may range from TK through 6th grade. The Youth Specialist will help students start their school day in a positive and supportive environment by leading activities, supervising students, assisting with breakfast, and supporting morning recess.Responsibilities Include:
Plan and facilitate engaging enrichment activities, including: Arts & crafts STEM projects Sports and physical activities Games and team-building activities Academic support Develop and submit bi-weekly lesson plans. Complete daily accountability and program documentation. Provide active supervision of students at all times. Use positive classroom management strategies to encourage appropriate behavior and student engagement. Follow and reinforce program expectations, routines, and safety procedures. Serve snack and assist with daily program transitions. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment. Maintain classroom materials and supplies. Communicate professionally with families, school staff, and program leadership. Foster a safe, respectful, inclusive, and positive environment for all students. Be punctual, professional, dependable, and flexible.Pay:
