Plus holiday pay Retirement plan options with employer matching Internal promotions and growth opportunities Access to paid training and certifications Meaningful work that positively impacts the community Clear values and mission-driven organization Essential Job Duties Encourage and support participant growth in choice and independent decision making Creation of Job Development Plan and initial IHSP Development and maintenance of curriculum: training participants in functional work skills and personal habits Utilize positive practices as fundamental behavior tool in all instructional settings Tracking participant progress through the program: maintain daily and weekly data Tracking potential employment leads Stay familiar with all aspects of participants IHSP, including behavior challenges, dietary needs, medical needs including allergies, medication, etc. Keep up with current developments in the field of ID/DD Be familiar with community training resources Learn, understand and implement Behavior Intervention Plans Awareness of Person-Centered Planning, and how such planning is generated and used in day-to-day activities. Understand all aspects of participant outcomes, dreams and desires Assist in development of participant outcomes Attend Annual meetings with other outside agencies and parties, as requested Employee will report to
Supported Employment Manager and:
Assume ongoing administrative duties as required Maintain clean and safe general use areas Prepare and maintain a safe, clean, and organized work setting Be familiar with current law Enhance participants' functional mobility Ensure implementation of individualized participant routines as established by case manager Other duties as assigned Employee will promote the general goals and philosophy of Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara by doing the following: Participate in training as indicated by specific geographical interests and needs; and that promotes professional growth; Assist with staff development and training as requested; Communicate relevant and necessary information to co-workers, coordinators and managers; Prepare for and participate in scheduled staff meetings and in-service training; Keep abreast of current developments in the field of developmental disabilities; Represent Alpha Resource Center and collaborate with outside agencies as requested: Ensure that appropriate health, safety, and service standards are met. Keep Program Manager and Facility Manager apprised of any potential hazards or safety concerns. Establish own professional goals within the priorities of Alpha Resource Center of Santa Barbara; Develop and maintain a high level of staff morale and promote service-wide unity of effort; Promote a positive atmosphere for staff and participant growth and self-awareness; Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Program Manager. Qualifications The employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Eligible to work in the United States Fingerprint clearance through Department of Justice Medical Clearance Valid CA driver license, reliable personal vehicle with evidence of insurance Knowledge of office practices and office equipment Ability to safeguard confidential information obtained during employment Ability to work both individually and as a team member and prioritize work Must be able to establish rapport and communicate with participants of diverse cultural, educational, and mental/physical ability
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
