Job Description

Job Summary Ensures that the Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs are supported with coaching and training for teachers. Assists Career and Technical Education Directors with management of programs operations. Essential Functions 1. Facilitates curriculum writing, alignment, and implementation of Career and Technical Education programs; models best practices. 2. Serves as a liaison between the CTE office and the schools. 3. Supports CTE in all aspects of design and implementation. 4. Coordinates and/or conducts staff development for curriculum implementation of Career and Technical Education. 5. Communicates vision and goals to school faculty, staff and builds CTE program support. 6. Must be willing drive to schools. 7. Coordinates/facilitates professional learning communities. 8. Locates and assists with purchasing appropriate resources, instructional materials, supplies and equipment. 9. Assists with marketing, communication, and recruitment efforts. 10. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. (Master's Degree Preferred)
Experience:
Five (5) years successful teaching experience.
Certifications & Licenses:
Florida Department of Education Certification in a Career and Technical Education program. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs content Knowledge of Carl Perkins grant Knowledge for Career and Technical Education career clusters Knowledge of differentiated instruction Strong analytical skills Strong leadership skills Strong training development and delivery skills Strong research skills Strong report writing skills Strong creative problem-solving skills Strong technology, problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong time management skills Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software skills Ability to adapt and work under pressure Ability to commit to urban education Ability to write, develop, align and implement curriculum Ability to facilitate meetings Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Some computer programming skills preferred
