Job Description

YHDP Resident Life Coordinator Organization Summary The Hope Partnership seeks to strengthen communities, empower neighbors, and build hope through holistic care to those in our community. We practice a model of Self-Determined Success that empowers those we work with to identify what success and stability look like in their current situation; then we walk alongside them as they engage in the steps to reach their success. We offer a variety of programs that work with those experiencing homelessness and low-income households living in and out of motels. Our goal is for everyone in our community to have a safe place to call home. Position Summary The YHDP Resident Life Coordinator is based full-time at Thrive Studios and supports young adults participating in Hope Partnership's Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) Transitional Housing through individualized support, relationship building, resident engagement, Life Skills development, community connection, and access to opportunities that support independence, housing stability, and long-term success. The YHDP Resident Life Coordinator is assigned to young adults participating in YHDP Transitional Housing specifically to support their experience and stability while residing at Thrive Studios. Working closely with each participant's Youth System Guide, the Coordinator provides individualized, hands-on support and works alongside young adults to identify their needs, interests, goals, and areas for growth. This includes helping participants develop and practice everyday independent-living skills such as maintaining a home, doing laundry, meal preparation, budgeting, transportation, healthcare navigation, employment and education, communication, self-advocacy, tenant responsibilities, and other skills identified by participants as important to their success. In addition to individualized support, the YHDP Resident Life Coordinator develops, coordinates, and facilitates practical and engaging Life Skills programming informed by the self-identified needs and interests of young adults. The Coordinator facilitates and supports the YHDP Youth Action Board (YAB), creating meaningful opportunities for youth voice, leadership development, and participation in the ongoing development of YHDP. The Coordinator intentionally connects YAB participation with Life Skills and upskilling opportunities, helping young adults build and demonstrate skills that support their personal, educational, employment, and leadership goals. The Coordinator also builds relationships with community partners to create educational, employment, wellness, social, and other opportunities and coordinates with YHDP partner organizations to make appropriate opportunities available to young adults participating in YHDP throughout the community. As part of the Thrive Studios community, the YHDP Resident Life Coordinator collaborates with the Thrive PSH Case Manager and other Hope Partnership team members to coordinate activities, workshops, and community-building opportunities that may benefit residents across housing programs while remaining responsive to the distinct needs and requirements of each program. Participants residing in YHDP Transitional Housing continue to work with their assigned Youth System Guide while receiving Transitional Housing-specific support from the YHDP Resident Life Coordinator. The Coordinator works closely with Youth System Guides to coordinate services and support, share relevant observations and needs, reinforce participant-identified goals, and ensure appropriate follow-up. This collaborative approach allows the Resident Life Coordinator to provide consistent, accessible support within the Transitional Housing environment while complementing, rather than duplicating, the broader role of the Youth System Guide.

Provide trauma-informed and trauma-responsive de-escalation and immediate supportive intervention when appropriate.
