Goodwill of the Heartland is seeking a Strategic Partnership Specialist to join our Davenport team. A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in direct sales, business management, or a rehabilitation field is required. The Strategic Partnership Specialist reaches out to area businesses, community groups, and agencies to learn about their work. This helps Goodwill develop relationships and identify the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships. Strong candidates will meet new people, identify business solutions, and enthusiastically share our mission to help people reach their full potential through education, training, and the power of work. This position will be responsible for representing Goodwill of the Heartland through participation in, and presentations for appropriate businesses, agencies, and professional networking groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Network with area businesses to develop and maintain partnerships that will lead to employment and training opportunities for Goodwill participants. Develop and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with community organizations, assisting with recruitment of potential participants and the provision of necessary support services for our participants. Utilize relevant labor market and employment data to develop and implement regional employment strategy. Identify business and organization employment needs and propose Goodwill solutions for the business and organization employment needs. Accurately track initial and follow up employer and community organization MOU's and contacts. Support and facilitate relationships of appropriate Goodwill staff with businesses and organizations to ensure that clients are effectively placed in employment opportunities. Coordinate business and community contacts with other Goodwill locations and Career Services teams to enhance job placement and training activities. Represent Goodwill in the community through participation in and presentations to appropriate organizations, agencies, professional networking groups. Establish a customer service strategy for ongoing business and organization customers to include development of minimum service expectations, ongoing customer communication plan, and customer satisfaction assessment process. Update partnership and employer data for accurate tracking and support utilization. Have access to a safe, reliable vehicle to use for work. Health/Dental/Vision Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year experience in direct sales, business management, or a rehabilitation field required. Up to four years additional related experience may be substituted for education requirement Computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams/Zoom required Valid Iowa driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and successful completion of motor vehicle screening, dependent adult and child abuse, and criminal background check The Strategic Partnership Specialist has a starting wage of $20.06
  • $22.29 an hour. The schedule will be Monday
  • Friday, 8am
  • 5pm, with occasional work outside of these hours.
You will be scheduled for 40 hours a week.
