Position Overview:

This position supports theIdaho National Guard Career Assistance Program as aCareer Assistance Specialist. The Career Assistance Specialist establishes and runs the Idaho National Guard Career Assistance Program, helping Idaho Guardsmen beat unemployment and underemployment.

You will be the program:

counseling Service Members one-on-one, teaching workshops, translating military skills into civilian terms, building employer networks across Idaho, and proving results with data. You will work on Gowen Field alongside the IDNG J9 Service Member and Family Support Branch and travel statewide to reach members where they live. This Position is

Annual Career Development Process Job Type:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Duty hours are generally 0700-1630, Monday through Friday, not to exceed 80 hours per two-week pay period; schedule flexibility required, including occasional weekend work tied to National Guard drill schedules and mobilization events. Telework available when approved by the Government; up to one hour per duty day authorized for physical fitness.
