Job Description

TITLE:

Coordinator, Work-Based Learning & Student Success

CLASSIFICATION

Classified Exempt

SALARY:

$50,000 to $60,000 (based on education and experience)

SCHEDULE

195 DAYS/YEAR

LOCATION:

Prosser Career & Technical Education Center

REPORTS TO

Building Principal

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology or other related field required;

has strong communication and engagement skills;

has an understanding of Career & Technical Education course offerings;

has experience in student programming, scheduling, and facilitation desired; and

has experience with developing support programs for student success.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinates work-based learning reporting to include Form 30A/INTERs report and any other state and/or federal reporting requirements.
  • Provides Prosser staff with state and federal updates related to work-based learning.
  • Plans, organizes and facilitates PBIS/soft skills initiatives and lessons for students and staff.
  • Participates in student orientations, recruiting at sending schools, community job fairs and activities related to work-based learning and PBIS/soft skills initiatives.
  • Collaborates with staff to help find work-based learning opportunities and partnerships.
  • Serve as the primary liaison and point of contact for employers and school staff for Work Based Learning.
  • Supports work-based learning educators by performing placement visits.
  • Shares in the development and coordination of school-wide special events and activities related to work-based learning and PBIS/soft skills.
  • Organizes and leads the administration of post-secondary entrance exams, certification assessments and/or other standardized assessments.
  • Assists the coordination of dual credit agreements with post-secondary institutions.
  • Supports Prosser student success with follow-up and implementation of student interventions.
  • Collaborate with Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers to align programs with new Indiana Diploma to establish clear learning objectives and evaluation methods for all WBL experiences, ensuring they are compliant with the new Indiana Diploma requirements.

Collaborate with Career and Technical Education (CTE) teachers to develop and manage formalized Work-Based Training Plans that align student WBL activities with the specific course standards and key competencies outlined in their chosen Next Level Programs of Study (NLPS) pathway (e.g., Advanced Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales, etc.).

Performs other related duties as assigned by the administration and/or designee.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Anticipated 40% within the CTE District 45 area.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory specific responsibilities, unless noted by the Principal.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation.
