For over 40 years, Pathways has been providing a supportive educational environment for adult learners from the greater Lynn area. Pathways empowers adult learners in our community to access careers and long-term financial stability through supportive education and workforce training.. 23 hours per week, in-person $30 per hour
Position:
The Alumni and Immigrant Support Specialist is responsible for providing support services to Pathways alumni to facilitate their education, career advancement, and personal well-being, and for coordinating follow-up with them after they leave the program.
Responsibilities include:
Work with supervisor to create an alumni follow-up schedule and maintain follow-up with all alumni Work with supervisor to develop and manage the distribution of direct payments to Pathways students and alumni to cover essential costs, such as food, shelter, and clothing Using data, develop, maintain, and grow: training opportunities for graduates; employer partnerships for job/career opportunities and services for incumbent workers Provide high-quality individual case management, referrals, and support services while working with alumni to develop, document, and monitor progress toward long-term career and educational goals. Provide individual and group assistance/support to students/graduates with career exploration, and refer to the Workforce Development Coordinator when alumni need employment assistance Use data and evidence-based research for continuous quality improvement of alumni support activities at Pathways Timely and accurate data entry and record keeping on services and outcomes using Salesforce Coordinate with supervisor and oversee a weekly facilitated immigrant support group and/or psycho-educational programming Perform other duties as assigned Morning/Evening hours required for this in-person position
Qualifications:
Experience working with low-income adult learners in a guiding manner, observing professional boundaries Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred Strong networking, written/oral communications, flexibility, and detail-oriented Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite computer programs Experience working in an office setting Bachelor's degree, or equivalent lived experience required
