Job Description

Rehabilitation Counselors Responsibilities:

The Rehabilitation Counselor's primary duty is direct-care instruction, using the principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA), and monitoring of the individuals on their assigned caseload across all hours of the day and in all environments.

Specific duties include:

Implement individual students clinical, educational, vocational, and daily living skills objectives in both the residential group home setting and in the school setting; Develop curricula and provide instruction to maximize individuals skills and independence; Plan, implement, and evaluate education, clinical, and other therapeutic programs for each assigned case; Analyze individual behavior and collect data to promote student independence; and Record and compile all necessary behavioral, educational, vocational, and daily living skills data accurately.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Employer requires individual to have at least a bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a closely related field. Candidate must also have at least one (1) year of work experience in an occupation teaching students with autism or related disabilities. All years of experience may be gained concurrently.
