Employment Coach/Job Specialist

Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Employment Coach/Job Specialist to empower individuals with diverse needs to achieve meaningful employment. In this role, you will serve as a dedicated guide, mentor, and advocate, helping clients navigate the workforce landscape with confidence. Your energetic approach will inspire clients to overcome barriers, develop essential skills, and secure sustainable jobs. Your expertise in social services, coaching, and workforce development will be instrumental in fostering independence and success for each client. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' strengths, interests, and employment barriers Develop personalized employment plans aligned with clients' goals and abilities Provide coaching on workplace skills, social interactions, and job maintenance strategies Assist clients with resume writing, interview preparation, and job search techniques using Microsoft Office tools Facilitate training sessions on workforce development topics and soft skills enhancement Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and support networks to create employment opportunities Maintain detailed case management records and document progress regularly Offer ongoing mentoring and support to ensure clients sustain employment long-term Stay informed about employment & labor law regulations affecting clients' rights and workplace accommodations Engage with culturally diverse communities to promote inclusive hiring practices and equitable access Experience Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in social services or coaching roles Background in workforce development programs or community-based social services Knowledge of employment & labor law as it pertains to disability rights and workplace accommodations Experience providing addiction counseling or related support services is a plus Strong teaching, mentoring, recruiting, training & development skills to foster client growth Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, communication, and presentation purposes Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations and underserved communities Excellent communication skills for client interviewing, client communication, and team collaboration Experience in case management, social work practices, or client advocacy is highly valued Join us as an Employment Coach/Job Specialist where your passion for social services combined with your expertise in workforce development can truly transform lives. Pay:
$20.53 - $23.54 per hour
