Role Description:

Smart Compassionate Care is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Part-Time Job Coach /Employment Support Specialist to empower individuals with developmental disabilities and autism to achieve their employment goals. This is a part-time, on site-role for a job coach. In this role, you will provide personalized coaching, mentorship, and training to help clients develop essential job skills, navigate workplace environments, and foster independence. Wednesdays 4:00pm-9:00pm

Hiring Range:

$18.00-$22/hourly

Key Responsibilities On-Site Coaching:

Visit the client's workplace in person every Wednesday evening to provide real-time, side-by-side job support and guidance.

Skill & Task Training:

Assist the client in mastering daily work duties, understanding workplace expectations, and navigating social dynamics.

Advocacy & Accommodations:

Help the client recognize their strengths, refine job-related skills, and self-advocate for necessary workplace accommodations.

Progress Tracking:

Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of client progress, coaching interventions, and employment milestones.

Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with employers, support teams, and program coordinators to ensure a successful, sustainable employment outcome.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other neurodivergent populations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an empathetic, encouraging approach. Ability to work independently on-site while maintaining clear reporting and documentation. Reliable transportation to travel to the worksite in or around Maple Lake, MN.

Preferred Qualifications :

Prior experience in job coaching, vocational support, or direct care (DSP). Familiarity with task-analysis teaching strategies tailored to diverse learning styles. Understanding of disability rights and workplace accommodations. Background in social work, human services, workforce development, or education.
