Full-Time Position Summary The Career Coach provides comprehensive case management, career development, employment preparation, job placement, and retention services to RESTART participants. The Career Coach serves as the participant's primary point of contact, helping individuals identify career goals, overcome barriers, complete education, or occupational training, obtain employment, and successfully transition into long-term careers. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct participant intake, assessments, enrollment, and orientation.
- Develop and maintain individualized education, employment, and career plans.
- Provide ongoing case management and career coaching.
- Identify barriers to employment and coordinate appropriate supportive services.
- Monitor participant attendance, progress, training completion, and achievement of program goals.
- Provide resume development, interview preparation, job-search assistance, workplace-readiness training, and career planning.
- Connect participants to occupational training, industry-recognized credentials, apprenticeships, work experiences, and educational opportunities.
- Develop relationships with employers and identify employment opportunities for participants.
- Match qualified participants with employers and coordinate interviews, hiring events, and job placements.
- Maintain communication with employers to support participant placement and retention.
- Provide post-placement coaching and assistance to improve employment retention and career advancement.
- Conduct required follow-up with participants after program completion.
- Maintain accurate case notes, employment records, supportive-service documentation, and required grant data.
- Collaborate with employers, training providers, WIN Job Centers, community organizations, and other workforce partners.
- Assist the program in meeting RESTART performance goals for enrollment, training completion, credential attainment, employment, retention, and wages.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or a combination of education and relevant professional experience may be considered. Minimum of two years of experience in case management, workforce development, career coaching, employment services, job development, or a related field preferred. Experience collaborating with justice-involved young adults or other underserved populations is strongly preferred. Knowledge & Skills Effective communication, relationship-building, case management, employer engagement, career coaching, documentation, and organizational skills. Must be able to manage a participant caseload, develop employer relationships, maintain confidential records, and collaborate effectively with participants facing multiple barriers to employment. Position Goal The Career Coach helps RESTART participants move from enrollment to career preparation, training, employment, and retention while providing one consistent point of support throughout their journey toward career success and economic self-sufficiency. Salary $40,000 - 45,000 annually
