Aristocrats STEM and Health Sciences Program at Jackson State University is accepting applications for its Success Coach position. Work with the Director creating engaging activities for participants. Provide students with skills, behaviors, and habits needed to successfully transition and remain in college. Plan, organize, host and conduct workshops, seminars and campus for participants. Support the accurate and timely collection, entry, and maintenance of student data to fulfill reporting requirements. Participate with recruiting, identifying, selecting, admitting and registering students in the program. Assist with the interviewing, provide advising and counseling of program participants on academic, career and personal issues, relating to their educational and physical/mental well-being. Identify educational and career options appropriate for each program participant and assist with analyzing of each option with the student. Proven experience working effectively with low-income, first generation, and students with disabilities in need of STEM academic assistance. Proven experience collaborating with STEM personnel and outside agencies. Proven experience providing and/or organizing individual and group tutorial sessions. Experience planning, organizing, hosting, or conducting workshops, seminars, and camps.
