About Us The Center for Inspired Education has spent over two decades helping neurodivergent learners build executive function skills through a strength-based, "Neurodiversity is Natural Brilliance" lens. Our coaching integrates executive function strategies with nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and flow-state principles — helping students not just manage tasks, but understand and work with their own minds. We're growing (currently serving around 50 students) and looking for coaches who want to grow with us. The Role As an Executive Function Skills Coach, you'll work one-on-one with neurodivergent students, helping them build practical, personalized systems for planning, focus, task initiation, time management, and self-regulation. You'll draw on CIE's toolkit and philosophy while bringing your own style and relationship-building strengths to each student. This is an independent contractor position with flexible scheduling, and coaches choose their own caseload size. Choose Your Age Range We know coaches often have a sweet spot — a developmental stage they connect with most naturally and are best equipped to support. When you apply, let us know which age group(s) you're most interested in and qualified to work with: Elementary (ages 8-10) Middle School (ages 11-13) High School (ages 14-17) Young Adult / Emerging Adult (ages 18-20+) You're welcome to select more than one range, or to specify a preference for a narrower band within these. What You'll Do Provide individualized executive function coaching sessions (in-person in the Asheville area and/or virtual) Help students build systems for planning, organization, task initiation, and time management Integrate nervous system regulation and somatic tools into coaching sessions Track student progress and communicate with families/caregivers Collaborate with the CIE team on curriculum, case consultation, and student support Maintain a caseload aligned with your chosen age range(s) and availability What We're Looking For Experience working with neurodivergent youth and/or young adults (ADHD, autism, learning differences, etc.) Background in coaching, education, counseling, occupational therapy, social work, or a related field (formal EF coaching certification a plus, not required) Warm, curious, strength-based approach to working with students Comfort with — or openness to learning — somatic and nervous-system-regulation-informed practices Reliable, organized, and communicative as an independent contractor Ability to pass a background check What We Offer Flexible, contractor-based schedule — you set your availability and caseload Choice of age range(s) to work within Access to CIE's coaching frameworks, tools, and ongoing case consultation A mission-driven, collaborative team culture rooted in neurodiversity-affirming values
