Exempt 10-month employee Position Purpose The CTE Paxton-Patterson Lab Teacher facilitates a dynamic, student-centered career exploration program using the Paxton-Patterson College & Career Ready Labs model. This role focuses on guiding students through hands-on, problem-based learning experiences across multiple career pathways, helping them discover their interests, strengths, and future possibilities. At J.H. Knox Intermediate, this teacher plays a critical role in realizing the mission — "Engaged Today. Transforming Tomorrow." — by designing learning experiences that are exploratory, relevant, and deeply connected to real-world careers. Paxton-Patterson Labs are designed to provide hands-on, minds-on, problem-based career exploration experiences aligned to real-world industries and career clusters. This role embodies

Facilitate student learning across multiple Paxton-Patterson career modules (e.g., engineering, health science, digital media, construction, etc.). ? Serve as a coach and mentor, guiding students through self-directed, collaborative, and hands-on learning experiences. ? Support students in developing technical, academic, and employability skills through real-world simulations and problem-based tasks. ?
