Job Description

Responsibilities Conduct client intake and assess work readiness. Develop Individual Responsibility Plans (IRPs) and guide clients through critical documents. Match clients with activities that meet WFNJ work requirements, and refer to supportive services when needed. Provide career and employment counseling. Enter and update client data in AOSOS, and document progress with accurate, detailed counselor notes. Maintain thorough, confidential client files. Process timesheets and job search logs. Monitor participation and follow up with clients on required activities. Communicate proactively with supervisors, keeping them updated on client issues and program needs in real time. Collaborate with the One-Stop Career Center, Social Services staff, community agencies, and WFNJ providers. Recommend sanctioning action when clients are not in compliance. Attend Fair Hearings as required. Represent Employment and Training Services at meetings and events. Take on additional responsibilities as needed, such as scheduling playing a role in Community Work Experience Program (CWEP) and working with vendors. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field (required). Previous experience in social services, human services, or related fields. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain professional social work boundaries with clients. Proficiency with technology and software; strong knowledge of PC Office tools. Familiarity with WFNJ and One-Stop Career Center programs, systems, and services preferred. Additional Requirements Professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Creative, solution-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-changing environment. Comfortable navigating complex systems and finding practical solutions. Willingness to learn new technology tools and processes. Client-centered approach with a focus on positive outcomes.
