Admissions and Career Services Coordinator Paralegal Institute Paralegal Institute is seeking a personable, organized, and results-driven Admissions and Career Services Coordinator to support students throughout their journey—from their first inquiry about the program through graduation and entry into the legal profession. This position combines admissions, student engagement, career preparation, employer outreach, and event coordination. Key Responsibilities Admissions and Enrollment Respond promptly and professionally to prospective-student inquiries and admissions leads. Build relationships with prospective students through phone, email, virtual, and in-person communication. Conduct admissions interviews, informational meetings, campus tours, and follow-up conversations. Explain program offerings, admissions requirements, schedules, tuition, and general funding options. Guide prospective students through the admissions and enrollment process. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. Track leads, applications, enrollment activity, and upcoming cohort availability. Help incoming students prepare for orientation and the beginning of their program. Support open houses, information sessions, orientations, and other enrollment-focused events. Collaborate with marketing staff by providing feedback about lead activity, prospective-student interests, and outreach results. Assist with outreach and lead-generation initiatives designed to increase awareness and enrollment. Career Services and Student Support Develop relationships with students and graduates to understand their career interests and employment goals. Assist students with resumes, job-search strategies, interview preparation, and professional communication. Help students identify internships, entry-level legal positions, and paralegal employment opportunities. Maintain regular communication with students regarding career preparation, available opportunities, hiring events, and employer connections. Coordinate student interviews, hiring events, career-focused workshops, and other employment activities. Encourage student participation in career services and follow up with students throughout their job search. Provide general guidance and support to students while referring academic, financial, or administrative matters to the appropriate team member. Collaborate with other departments to create a positive experience from enrollment through graduation and employment. Employer and Community Relations Develop and maintain relationships with law firms, legal departments, courts, professional associations, and other potential employers. Identify internship, externship, interview, and employment opportunities for students and graduates. Communicate with employers to understand their hiring needs and introduce qualified students and graduates. Coordinate law-firm interviews and employer recruiting activities. Support partnerships with legal and professional organizations that strengthen the Institute's employment pipeline. Represent Paralegal Institute professionally at career fairs, networking events, open houses, and community events. Maintain organized records of employer contacts, opportunities, and student referrals. Share employment and placement activity with the team member responsible for official graduate-outcome reporting. Events and Outreach Assist with planning and coordinating open houses, orientation sessions, graduations, interview events, and hiring events. Communicate event information to prospective students, current students, graduates, and employers. Prepare or update outreach, admissions, and career-services materials. Support LinkedIn and other approved outreach initiatives intended to increase program visibility and engagement. Follow up with event attendees, prospective students, employers, and community partners. Qualifications Previous experience in admissions, career services, recruiting, staffing, education, sales, customer service, workforce development, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with students, job seekers, prospective students, or employers is strongly preferred. Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred. Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and customer-service skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate confidently by phone, email, video, and in person. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow-up activities, events, and deadlines. Comfortable initiating conversations and maintaining relationships with prospective students and employers. Ability to handle student and applicant information professionally and confidentially. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, virtual-meeting platforms, and database or student-management systems. Familiarity with the legal industry, higher education, career services, or adult education is helpful but not required.
