As an Employment Consultant you will be responsible for facilitating inclusive employment for individuals with diverse abilities. In this role you will carry a caseload of individuals that need support with finding employment. You will support these individuals by providing career assessments and job readiness training. Additionally, you will work with community employers by educating them about developing a diverse work force and understanding reasonable accommodations. This position requires travel from work site to work site, to and from Administrative Offices, Vocational Rehabilitation, Department of Health Services, and other off-site locations. May require weekend and holiday availability. What You'll Do Community Networking and Workforce Evaluations Build relationships with local businesses to identify job opportunities for individuals, with or without ADA accommodations. Educate employers on the benefits of a diverse workforce and promote inclusive hiring practices. Conduct worksite assessments and support individuals in integrating into workplace culture. Provide on-site support and encouragement and advocacy as needed. Case Management Guide individuals through job preparation activities like resume writing, interview practice, and transportation planning. Deliver Discovery/Career Exploration services and develop vocational profiles. Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with support teams to ensure consistent, person-centered services. Open to working with all individuals regardless of gender identity, sexuality, race, or religion. Proficiency in software applications and tracking systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams), virtual meeting platforms, and online training modules. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address challenges, resolve conflicts, and de-escalate situations effectively. Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to engage authentically with clients, employers, and team members. Attention to detail and ability to ensure accuracy of work products. Physical ability to assist in lifting, repositioning, or transferring of individuals using wheelchairs; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds and frequently lifting of up to 25 pounds; frequent bending and stooping. Work environments vary depending on job sites. Ability to meet background check, reference, and organization's driving requirements of having a current and valid driver's license and no more than two driving infractions in the last two years.
