Provided according to company policy Help Us Grow Employment Services in Rhode Island RISE Services is expanding our supported employment services in Rhode Island and is seeking an experienced Employment Specialist or Job Coach to become one of our first local team members in the East Bay region. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly with individuals with disabilities but is also interested in growing into a leadership role as the program expands . We are beginning with a small Rhode Island caseload. The position will start part-time, with hours expected to increase as additional referrals are received and services expand. As the program grows, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to take on increased responsibility for new staff, referral relationships, service coordination, and regional program operations. What You'll Do Initially, your primary responsibility will be providing direct employment services to individuals with disabilities, including: Career exploration and employment preparation Job searching and job development Connecting with local employers Job placement Job coaching and workplace support Employment-retention services Helping clients identify employment goals and overcome barriers to employment Communicating with clients, families, employers, and referral partners Completing accurate and timely service documentation You'll provide services in community settings such as client homes, workplaces, employer locations, and other locations throughout the East Bay region. An Opportunity to Grow With the Program This is not simply a traditional Job Coach position. RISE Services is actively developing its Rhode Island program, and we are looking for someone who would like the opportunity to grow with us. As referrals and staffing increase, responsibilities may expand to include: Helping coordinate services and client coverage Supporting and mentoring newly hired Employment Specialists Developing relationships with Rhode Island ORS and other referral partners Building relationships with local employers Participating in community and transition meetings Helping monitor documentation and service quality Assisting with the continued development of RISE Services' Rhode Island employment program There are currently no employees reporting to this position. - Vocational Rehabilitation Professional We are looking for someone who: Works independently and follows through on responsibilities Enjoys helping individuals with disabilities achieve employment goals Is comfortable providing services in the community Is organized, dependable, and responsive Can solve routine problems independently Communicates professionally with clients, families, employers, and referral partners Is interested in professional growth and future leadership opportunities Understands the importance of accurate and timely service documentation Experience with Rhode Island ORS, vocational rehabilitation, supported employment, transition services, or Rhode Island disability services is especially valuable.
