Job Description
Under the direction of the LNA Training Hub Coordinator, the LNA Navigator provides direct support to prospective and current LNA students, incumbent LNAs, and the broader LNA workforce across Vermont. This position directs prospective students to appropriate LNA training programs and resources, develops individualized career pathways, and supports trainee retention through advising and wrap-around services. The LNA Navigator supports outreach and assessment activities, and contributes to the operations of the Vermont LNA Training Hub at the Community College of Vermont. This is a one-year grant funded position with the possibility of extension pending continued funding. This position can be located at any CCV academic center in Vermont. Essential Functions Student Navigation and Career Pathway Support Provide direct career advising services to prospective LNA students and the existing LNA workforce; assess individual needs, interests, and barriers and connect individuals to appropriate training programs, financial supports, and community resources. Develop and maintain individualized career pathway plans for LNA students; support retention through ongoing check-ins, problem-solving, and referral to additional services as needed. Coordinate and facilitate one-on-one and small group advising sessions on topics including LNA career ladders, training program options, Vermont DAIL licensing requirements, financial aid opportunities, and professional development pathways. Support prospective students in understanding and accessing financial aid, non-degree grants, incumbent worker funding, and other available supports; make referrals to CCV academic advising and student services as appropriate. Track advising contacts and service delivery outcomes; prepare required data reports and contribute to grant performance measurement. Outreach, Inventory, and Hub Program Support Support the Hub Coordinator in conducting a statewide inventory of LNA training programs, including gathering data on duration, format, populations served, pass rates, clinical partnerships, cost structures, and available participant supports. Assist in conducting a gap analysis and needs assessment of LNA programming, funding models, and eldercare best-practice curriculum availability across Vermont. Assist with outreach to healthcare employers, training providers, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, and Adult CTE programs to build and maintain the Hub's partner network. Support planning and logistics for regional healthcare summits and community engagement events; assist in capturing and synthesizing findings for use by the Hub Coordinator and Advisory Committee. Assist in coordinating workforce readiness programming, pre-training support services, and community outreach activities designed to prepare prospective students for successful participation in LNA training. Maintain and regularly update the centralized statewide LNA Training Hub website and searchable training database to ensure accurate, accessible, and current information regarding LNA education and workforce resources throughout Vermont. Support coordination of the lending library of specialized training equipment; assist with tracking inventory and processing partner requests. Assist in coordinating statewide professional development opportunities for LNAs, LNA instructors, and healthcare partners, including logistics, participant communication, and event support.
