Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Residential Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in patient care or behavioral health, with experience working with elders, children, and teenagers. The Youth Residential Care Worker will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and support to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their personal growth and development. Responsibilities Supervises residents, providing a safe, secure and positive environment where residents' physical and emotional needs are met. Instructs residents in problem-solving, communication, socialization emotional educational and life management skills. Always maintain professional boundaries Transports residents safely and in accordance with agency policies in agency vehicles as needed. Coordinates and documents all information regarding patient behavior, level of functions, emotional status and current team member interventions complete all documentation before the end of their shift. Must be physically able to perform Crisis Intervention Preventions (CIP) as needed. Completes any additional duties that may be assigned in a timely manner. Knowledge Skills & Abilities Strong written and verbal skills, ability to read analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, residents, licensed associates, and the public. The ability to define problems to collect data establishes facts and draw valid conclusions.
