POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

•No experience needed, will train right person. Assist residents with performance of activities of daily living and simple treatments as indicated in service plans. Assist residents with emotional health and/or problem behavior issues as indicated in service plans. Perform other services for residents as indicated in service plans. (e.g. laundry and pet care) Observes for and reports residents problems (as listed in Observation and Reporting sections of

Training Resource:

Resident Assistant or in service plans) and reports such problems to charge nurse or Med Tech. Performs food service duties, including but not limited to serving meals, delivering meal trays to apartments, bussing tables, cleaning dining room tables after meals and setting tables. Reads communication log at beginning of each shift; enter information in communication log by the end of shift. Serves as role model for other employees by displaying responsible, cooperative and positive attitude.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Ability to walk three to four hours per day. Also, run or walk rapidly. Attends education and training classes, including as necessary to fulfill state or provincial regulations. Adheres to Dress/Appearance Code. Able to speak, read, and write English. Has criminal history clearance per state or provincial regulations (or per Sunridge Village policy if not required by state or province). Maintains ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout vast majority of typical eight- hour workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, reach, grasp, and perform fine Must complete the Certified Caregiver course within 90 days of hire. Or sooner to train for Medication technician.
