Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Support individuals with dementia or cognitive disabilities through specialized memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication activities Operate manual handling equipment safely for resident transfers and ensure safe patient lifting practices are followed at all times Provide companionship and effective client communication to foster trust and emotional well-being Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation Requirements Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia care, and memory care best practices Certification in CPR, First Aid and Caregiver certificate is required; ongoing training is preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is highly valued Strong understanding of resident's rights, safe patient lifting practices, and medication administration procedures Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving Join us if you're passionate about providing high-quality care that empowers individuals to live their best lives!
