Personal Care Attendant Part time Community Access Supported Living Alameda, CA Job Details Part-time $19.00 - $21.60 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications House cleaning assistance Residential housekeeping Personal grooming assistance Meal preparation Meal assistance Full Job Description Part-time Personal Care Attendant 27-year-old woman living with cerebral palsy in her own apartment in the City of Alameda is seeking a personal care attendant(s) for the following shifts: Saturday 4pm-7pm Sunday 4p-7pm Possible fill-in coverage for awake overnight shifts 10pm-7am, 11pm-7am and 11pm-11am. She needs minimal assistance during transfers between her wheelchair to bedside commode and back. Full assistance with personal hygiene and other activities of daily living such as dressing, and sponge bathing, support for menses hygiene, repositioning. During daytime hours, she would like support for laundry, meal preparation and clean-up and light housekeeping. She wants someone who has the patience needed to teach her new skills and who can help solve problems to learn new tasks that may seem outside her range of current abilities. She wants to learn how to be as independent as possible. The overnight shifts are awake to assist with repositioning; restroom needs, sponge bathing as requested or emergencies should they arise. IHSS enrollment is required. There may be a combination of IHSS hours and agency funded hours. Bonus is paid for working a minimum 4-hour shift on eligible holidays both for full and part-time employees. Part-time work may lead to full-time employment.
