Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to ensure safety and well-being Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with dietary needs and care plans Support residents with mobility using appropriate patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques Administer medications as directed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medication protocols Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control standards Document care activities accurately in resident records, including patient observations, care plans, and incident reports Provide emotional support and companionship, fostering a respectful environment that upholds residents' rights and dignity Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health care is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and hospice care practices Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely using proper techniques such as patient transfer methods and Hoyer lifts Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications related to healthcare or caregiving are a plus Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or intellectual disabilities support preferred Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information Join us as an HCA caregiver to bring energy, compassion, and expertise into the lives of those who need it most.
