Chino, CA Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 17 hours ago Benefits On-the-job training Qualifications CPR Certification Word processing English High school diploma or GED Driver's License First Aid Certification Desktop applications Productivity software Full Job Description Position Overview Responsible for providing direct support to developmentally disabled adults (1:1)/(1:3) to help program participants attain a level of independence which allows them to live and work in the community with dignity, safety, and hope. Mentors report to the Office and Field Operations Lead. Role and Responsibilities Work 20 - 40 hours per week. Maintain accurate, current, and legible Individual records. Provide direct support services to clients . Implement program curriculum, including Individual training plans and schedules. Directly deliver individual learning experiences to assist each Individual served in obtaining his/her IPP objectives. Attend planning meetings at the Regional Center if requested to do so by the client, the client's conservator, or the Regional Center. Assist clients with creating weekly schedules and monthly goal sheets. Assist clients with identifying what's important to them and what's important for them. Help developmentally disabled adults improve social skills through recreational activities involving community integration. Complete daily documentation and quarterly reports for clients. Must go the extra mile to ensure the program participants we serve are satisfied with our service. Maintain positive working relationships with Regional Centers, the client's family, and others supporting the client. Assist with the coordination and execution of structured activities. Assist in advocating on behalf of the Individual and ensuring client's rights are observed. Participate in all required orientation programs, on the job training, and minimum of 8 hours annual continuing education. Comply and document all SCLARC, DDS, and HIPAA compliance requirements. Create an effective Daily, Weekly or Monthly agenda/plan for assigned caseload. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications HS Diploma or General Education Development (GED) credential Year 1 Direct Support Professional certification Valid California's driver's license and California Auto Insurance Immediate access to an operating vehicle with operable seat belts 6 months experience in a human services organization Ability to use a computer in an office environment including e-mail and word processing software. Proof of a negative TB test CPR & First Aid certification Demonstrated proficiency with written and spoken English. Authorized to work in the United States No felony convictions Meet any additional requirements as specified in Title 17 requirements. Desirable Qualifications Previous experience working with the developmentally disabled population. Motivated, task-oriented, and flexible.

Benefits Summary :
Sick time accumulated monthly over a year. All Benefits become available after a 90-day probationary period.
