IT Systems Analyst Pay Rate :
$80,000 to $90,000 DOE (Exempt) Reports to:IT Manager Position Summary :
The IT Systems Analyst is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, operating systems, hardware, software, and Microsoft cloud services. This position helps ensure a secure, reliable, and efficient technology environment that supports business operationsKey Duties/Responsibilities:
Tasks/ Responsibilities including but not limited to:- Maintain and support the organization's computer networks, servers, systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP .
- Manage users, computers, security groups, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID .
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 , including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Manage Microsoft 365 user accounts, licenses, shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and permissions.
- Support Microsoft Entra ID , including MFA, Conditional Access, authentication, SSO, and identity management.
- Administer and support Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration, compliance, application deployment, and endpoint management.
- Support Microsoft Defender security solutions, monitor alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and assist with remediation.
- Manage endpoint security controls including BitLocker, antivirus, firewall policies, and security baselines .
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, and network connectivity.
- Monitor network and system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, server, and connectivity issues.
- Provide technical support to end users for computers, Microsoft 365, phones, printers, networks, VPNs, and business applications.
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, devices, applications, licenses, and access permissions.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity policies and controls to protect company systems and data.
- Review system, security, and audit logs when troubleshooting or investigating incidents.
- Maintain backup and disaster recovery systems and perform periodic recovery testing.
- Use PowerShell and other administrative tools for troubleshooting, reporting, and automation.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and technology partners for infrastructure and support needs.
- Evaluate and recommend system upgrades, security improvements, and infrastructure enhancements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP .
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive .
- Understanding of MFA, Conditional Access, identity management, endpoint security, and cybersecurity principles .
- Knowledge of networking technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPNs, Wi-Fi, and firewalls .
- Fundamental knowledge of Cisco networking technologies.
- Familiarity with PowerShell and Microsoft administrative tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with client/server management and monitoring tools. Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems , or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience in systems administration, network administration, or IT infrastructure support.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID .
- Experience with Intune, Defender, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PowerShell is preferred.
- Experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, and enterprise networking is preferred.
- Certifications such as Microsoft certifications, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+ are preferred.
