Operations Manager - Home Care Encinitas, CA Full-Time | On-Site | $75,000-$80,000 per year An established and growing non-medical home care organization serving multiple territories throughout San Diego County is seeking an experienced Home Care Operations Manager to join our leadership team. This is an on-site leadership position based in our Encinitas office . We are looking for someone who already knows home care . This is not a position for someone looking to transition into the industry. The right person understands the daily realities of running a home care operation: caregivers, scheduling, call-offs, recruiting, client needs, staffing challenges, compliance, and managing an office team. You will work directly with the Owner and serve as a key operational leader within the company. We are growing, and we need someone who can help lead the day-to-day operation while building the structure and accountability needed for continued growth. What You'll Be Responsible For Lead day-to-day home care operations Manage, support, and hold the office team accountable Oversee caregiver scheduling and ensure shifts are properly staffed Manage call-offs, coverage issues, and daily operational challenges Oversee caregiver recruiting, onboarding, retention, and performance Ensure caregiver availability is effectively utilized Monitor overtime, scheduling efficiency, and staffing needs Maintain a high level of client service and quickly address concerns Ensure consistent follow-through on operational priorities Maintain compliance with California home care requirements and company policies Improve processes, communication, organization, and accountability Work directly with the Owner on growth and operational planning Help integrate new clients, caregivers, and territories as the company continues to expand What We're Looking For Prior management experience in non-medical/private-duty home care is required. You should have hands-on experience with: Caregiver scheduling and staffing Recruiting and caregiver retention Managing office staff and caregivers Client and family communication Solving coverage and call-off issues Home care compliance and documentation Managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment Holding people accountable while maintaining a positive team culture Experience with WellSky or similar home care management software is a plus. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can take ownership of operations . You should be comfortable identifying what needs attention, setting priorities, managing the team, solving problems, and making sure things get done. Opportunity for Growth This is not intended to be a static Operations Manager position. We are building a larger San Diego operation, and the right person will have the opportunity to grow with the company into Director and potentially VP-level operational leadership as the organization expands.
