In this vital role, you will provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals with diverse needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, and individuals requiring specialized support such as dementia or autism care. Your dedication will help enhance the quality of life for your clients by assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and fostering independence in the comfort of their homes. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working in a supportive environment that values your skills and compassion. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to promote dignity and comfort. Support clients with mobility and transfers using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety for both caregiver and client. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary to promote health and well-being. Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in meaningful activities to foster mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing living spaces. Requirements Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred. Experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is advantageous. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals while respecting residents' rights. Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely using proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care to provide specialized support. Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to get to clients' home (not to drive around or to run errands) Compassionate attitude combined with professionalism to deliver respectful, client-centered care in a home environment.
