Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Support patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods to ensure safety. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal planning and preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Support clients with transportation needs for medical appointments or errands, ensuring safe and reliable travel assistance. Qualifications Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders enhances your ability to provide specialized support. Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays demonstrates your adaptability and patience. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while adhering to proper techniques for patient transfer methods. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
