Job Summary RNValor Assisted Living is a small 6-bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) in Pasadena seeking dependable, compassionate caregivers for: Weekend NOC Caregiver - Regularly scheduled part-time awake overnight shifts On-Call/PRN Float Pool Caregivers - Flexible coverage for day, evening, and NOC shifts Monday through Sunday We are actively expanding our caregiver float pool to provide reliable backup coverage for call-outs, vacations, schedule changes, and changing resident care needs. Our small residential setting allows caregivers to get to know residents personally and provide individualized, attentive care. Weekend NOC Position The Weekend NOC position is an awake overnight shift . The caregiver must remain awake, alert, and responsive to resident needs throughout the entire shift.
Responsibilities include:
Provide overnight resident supervision and safety checks Respond promptly to resident call lights, alarms, and care needs Assist with toileting, incontinence care, repositioning, transfers, and mobility as needed Provide dementia and memory-care support Complete required overnight documentation Perform assigned laundry and light housekeeping when resident care needs are met Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment Assist with early-morning resident care Assist with breakfast preparation and morning setup On-Call / PRN Float Pool On-call caregivers provide additional staffing coverage throughout the week.

Float-pool caregivers may indicate which days and shifts they are generally available. You are not required to be available for every shift . This position is ideal for caregivers looking for flexible additional hours while maintaining another job, school schedule, or other commitments. The ability to accept occasional short-notice shifts is highly valued. General Caregiver Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, toileting, and incontinence care Assist with mobility, transfers, repositioning, and ambulation according to resident care needs Provide dementia and memory-care support Respond promptly to resident call lights, alarms, and requests for assistance Provide appropriate resident supervision and safety monitoring Assist residents with self-administration of medications according to applicable RCFE requirements, physician orders, and facility procedures Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, mobility, or functioning and promptly report concerns Complete required caregiver documentation accurately and timely Assist with meal preparation, meal service, and resident dining needs Perform laundry, light housekeeping, and assigned household duties Maintain resident rooms and common areas in a clean, comfortable, and safe condition Follow individualized resident care plans Follow infection-control, emergency, safety, and facility procedures Communicate effectively with residents, families, coworkers, management, and outside care providers as appropriate Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and quality of life Qualifications Previous professional caregiving experience preferred RCFE, assisted living, memory care, hospice, or senior-care experience preferred Dementia-care experience strongly preferred Comfortable providing hands-on personal care, including toileting and incontinence care Comfortable assisting residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning Dependable and punctual Patient, compassionate, respectful, and attentive Able to work independently when appropriate and collaborate effectively with a small caregiving team Able to communicate clearly and follow resident care plans and facility instructions Must be able to perform the physical duties associated with caregiving Must successfully meet all applicable California RCFE employment, health, training, and criminal-record clearance requirements
